  • I support the type one diabetes find a cure. My granddaughter is eligible for an artificial pancreas in April of this year but the cost is over $8000.00 and she will have to replace the battery every year which costs $1000.00. There is currently a fund raiser going on at Trinity Baptist church in Newton NC to help raise the money to fund the cost of it. She is only 14. Has been diagnosed a year ago and has many battles to overcome because of this terrible disease. She has no immune system to fight off infections . She is a gifted student in spite of this disease. She attends Discovery Health and Science high school in Newton NC. There is yet to be found a cure for type1 diabetes. I know it isn’t military related but I am confident there are many military families that has one member of their family with this terrible disease. Thank you
